Yes, I am a member of both the CWCCA (Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America) and CWCCSC (Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California).

Both parents are not always owned by Summerland. To build upon proper structure, temperment and other virtues it is common to breed to an outside stud dog, in which case only the Dam of the puppies would be able to be met. Meetings are somewhat uncommon during the early weeks of a puppy's life due to maintaining a safe and virus-free establishment. Meetings are arranged on a case by case request. We very much encourage meeting the breeder and dogs during off-breeding seasons.

In purchasing a puppy or dog from SUMMERLAND, you will become a part of the family and will have access to ongoing advice, resources and a commitment throughout your dogs lifetime. I am dedicated to answering your questions and providing help to guide you through the trials and joys of dog ownership.

Cardigans are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and sense of humor. They tend to form very strong bonds with their families and enjoy being involved in daily life.

Because they are intelligent and thoughtful dogs, they appreciate both training and mental challenges. Many Cardigans enjoy learning new skills, participating in activities, and having a job to do. Their herding heritage also means they are naturally aware of their surroundings and attentive to movement.

While they can be slightly reserved with strangers at first, well-raised Cardigans are confident, stable, and affectionate dogs who quickly warm up once they feel comfortable.

Of course, in the unforeseen event you should ever need to part with your dog I reserve the right of first refusal and will either take in the dog or assist in helping to re-home it.

Yes, once you are an approved home for a Summerland Puppy or adult dog all adoptions will include a contract. The contract will include the terms of the agreement and details of guarantees.
